The UK Balint Society UK was founded in 1969 to continue the work begun by Michael and Enid Balint. Initially focussed on supporting the work of General Practitioners, the present day Society is increasingly involved with a diverse range of health and social care professionals.
The Society is a registered charity (No. 261387) and raises income from membership subscriptions, events, and occasional donations. The Council of the UK Balint Society has day to day responsibility for running the affairs of the Society and reports to members at an Annual General Meeting. The work of Council is further described by following the additional links in the About Us menu above.
