Story telling in the context of Balint groups

 A non-residential weekend event based at the centre of Cardiff, capital of Wales at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Meridian Gate, Cardiff.  Delegates are invited to participate in either classic Balint or leadership training groups.

This event starts on Friday 19th April late afternoon and ends on Sunday 21st at around mid-day. 

Early finish on Saturday afternoon is a good opportunity to explore the Welsh Capital.

Food and drink will be available throughout the event, including a buffet upon arrival Friday evening. There is an optional evening meal available at 7:30pm Saturday at an extra cost of £40.00 per head to be paid for at the time of booking.

A discounted residential rate will be available to participants wishing to stay at the Radisson Blu Hotel.

Highlights of the event - 

This event starts with an introductory talk on Balint Activities in Wales on Friday before the groups meet . A Welsh Story teller (Ms Tamar Elluned Williams) tells the story of Physicians of Myddfai  on Saturday morning . Dr Julia Lewis will give a talk on Balint groups and her acting career after lunch on Saturday.

Sunday will be a half day with group work to start and plenary to end the event.

Leadership Experience - Please state your previous Balint group experience if any. Please state if you are on the Balint group leadership accreditation pathway & if you have any experience of leading Balint groups.

Cancellation by a Delegate

Cancellation requests should be submitted in writing to the Administrator (administrator@balint.co.uk) with the bank account name, sort code and account number used to pay the registration fee.  The Society will refund the registration fee paid at day delegate rate, less an administration charge of £25.00. 

Refund of payments for overnight accomodation and the annual dinner will be subject to the Society being able to change the number of delegates contacted to the provider, or there being a refund by the provider.  Late cancellations may therefore receive only a proportion or none of this payment. 

In the case of payment by Trusts, an alternative delegate may be sent to the event free of charge.  Please notify the administrator of their details. 

When a delegate does not attend without notice, no refund can be issued. 

Cancellation by the Society: In the unlikely event of the Balint Society cancelling an event the registration fee will be refunded in full. 

Occasionally it is necessary to make late changes to an event programme and the Society reserves the right to do this.
