We are delighted to offer an opportunity for all those with an interest in Balint work to attend our Scottish Balint day held at the University of Dundee Medical School, Ninewells Hospital, Dundee. 

Participants with all levels of experience, or no experience, from all professional backgrounds and stages of training are welcome.

All Delegates are invited to participate in Balint groups in the morning session, with a leadership training group available as an option in the afternoon session. The programme will also include a ‘fish bowl’ group allowing opportunities to observe and experience the Balint processfrom a range of viewpoints.

Morning and afternoon refreshments and a sandwich lunch will be provided.

The Online Leaders’ Working Group is pleased to announce our next online workshop which will take place on Saturday 14th November 10.30am - 12.30pm.

The workshop is for anyone leading groups or interested in leadership and will include an information session on the current accreditation pathway followed by an experiential leadership session with the opportunity for participants to lead.  Prior experience of leading a group is not required to attend. 

Registration for the event will open in October.  The cost will be £30.

This study day held at Malone House, Barnett Demesne, Belfast, will provide an opportunity for clinical and allied health professionals and those in training to reflect on and to explore their thoughts, feelings and emotions around consultations/client encounters in the safety of small groups. 

This event awards the particpant 5.5 CPD points UK AND The College of Psychiatry, Ireland

Leeds Balint Study Day “Balint – Learning from Experience” will be held at Devonshire Hall in Leeds. 

You will have a chance to hear from experienced Balint Leaders and to join in Balint Groups over the day, finishing with the Balint Society AGM, to which all members are welcome.

The Balint Spring Weekend is a residential weekend based at the peaceful & comfortable conference house of Whalley Abbey on the Banks of the River Calder in the grounds of the ruined abbey. Non-residential places are available.

Time will be spent in case discussion groups in which doctors, psychotherapists, counsellors, nurses, other allied health professionals, medical, nursing and other students can share and explore their feelings about their patients in the safety of small groups. For those who already have Balint group experience and who want to learn, practice & improve their group leadership skills there will be a Balint Group Leaders Intensive Workshop which will run concurrently.  

The Balint Society is extremely happy to invite you to 'Save the Date' for our annual event, the very longstanding Oxford Balint Weekend hosted at historic Corpus Christi College. It begins on Friday 24th September to Sunday 26th of September 2027.
